Glen Ellyn League of Women Voters: D41 Facilities Inadequate

However, the League found that District 89's infrastructure is in acceptable shape.

The Glen Ellyn League of Women Voters’ yearlong study of the facilities of Community Consolidated School District 89 and Glen Ellyn School District 41 has concluded that while District 89’s infrastructure is adequate, District 41’s is not, Jayne Boeckelman, President League, writes in a letter published last week in the Suburban Life

“The current facilities in District 41 are not adequate to meet either current or projected enrollment, nor are they adequate to meet current or long-range program needs,” Boeckelman writes.

“Causes of these inadequacies were the extensive use of portable classrooms throughout the district, the inadequate space available within buildings and the aging infrastructure in all buildings.”
