Glen Ellyn High School Students' Fashion Show Raises Money for Haiti

Help support Glen Ellyn's Children's Resource Center, Hands of Faith Ministries in South Dakota and Kids Alive in Haiti through a fashion show May 9.

Glen Ellyn High School students Hannah and Shay are raising money for several nonprofits in Haiti through a fashion show and used clothing drive this week.

The 3rd Annual Project Passion fashion show and used clothing sale takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Glen Ellyn Bible Church, according to Hannah's mom, Dawn Jackman.

"Although we always forget to count, the turn out is quite large and for that we are grateful," Jackman said.

The previous two years' events raised more than $13,500, according to Jackman, and all proceeds went to the Hands of Faith ministry on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Both Hannah and Shay delivered the donation while they were serving on the reservation along with their youth group.

This year, all proceeds will be divided equally among Glen Ellyn's Children's Resource Center, Hands of Faith Ministries in South Dakota, and Kids Alive in Haiti

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or by e-mailing proj.passion@gmail.com.
