Forest Glen Elementary Students Accessed Porn at School

Boys aged 9 to 11 looked at porn online on a school district computer and on an iPod on the playground.

After a parent raised concern, Forest Glen Elementary School officials recently discovered that three fourth and fifth-grade boys had looked at pornography online while they were at school, according to ABC 7.

The boys, aged 9 to 11, accessed pornographic websites once using a school district computer and another time via a personal iPod on the school playground; the school has since blocked the site and is updating its firewall, ABC 7 reports.

Wonder how they knew to find the site in the first place? Probably at home

Maybe it was from home but what about the other students who DO NOT have access to that material at home. The students should not be punished...the adults should be!! This is like giving a child a box of candy and telling them not to open it to see what kind is inside. The SCHOOL is providing the access. All kids are curious and will eventually see this stuff...that's not the issue...the issue is that it is the schools property that they are finding it on. This happened at my children's elementary school and the students were NOT trying to search for inappropriate material but it came up anyway and then the students are the ones who are made to feel as if they are in the wrong. It's the adults in the wrong. If they can't monitor it then they shouldn't allow it. So sad...some kids see this stuff too young and that's that, it is what it is but other kids who would have never seen it for several more years are now seeing it at ELEMENTARY school. Pathetic. The adults should be ashamed.
