John Calamos, Investing Guru, Offers Free Investing Advice during Money Smart Week

             Considered by some to be “an international investing rock star,” John Calamos, Sr., CEO of Calamos Investments will share tips and advice for everyday investors at a free presentation during Money Smart Week.  He will be the featured speaker during the Money Smart Week DuPage kickoff, April 2, 10:30 am, at College of DuPage, Student Resource Center, 425 Fawell Boulevard, Glen Ellyn.  The event is open to the public and reservations are not required.

            Calamos was an early expert in the use of convertible security investment strategies and has authored two books on the subject.  He is often quoted as an authority on wide range of topics in investment publications and on financial television broadcasts.  His firm currently has more than $37 billion under management.           

            During the 10th annual Money Smart Week DuPage, April 2 – 9, 2011, DuPage residents can get free money saving advice at more than 60 free events.  Coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Money Smart Week is designed to educate consumers about money management as well as generate awareness of financial education programs on topics such as saving, using credit wisely, and financial education for youth.  The educational activities will be carried out by more than 30 DuPage area community groups, financial institutions, not-for profit organizations, businesses, schools, libraries and local government agencies.
