Glen Crest Band Competes in Music in the Park Festival

Saturday, May 19, The Glen Crest Middle School 7th and 8th grade Symphonic Band takes part in the Music in the Park competition at Six Flags Great America. During the morning of the competition, the band will perform at Evanston Township High School in Gurnee, Illinois. They will be judged against middle school bands from the Midwest and Canada. Sponsors for the trip are Director of the Symphonic Band is Katrina Berry and Concert Band Director is Lev Garbar. The afternoon will be spent at Six Flags
with the final activity being the Awards Ceremony. Glen Crest musicians have won this competition many times in the past years.
