District 87 Students Showing Gratitude to Veterans this Valentine's Day

Community members can help support students as they write notes and letters to hospitalized veterans.

In a continuing tradition, students at Glenbard District 87 schools will be showing their gratitude to veterans this Valentine’s Day.

Students from all four high schools will gather after school on Jan. 30 to create valentines for veterans who are hospitalized in hospitals in Illinois and overseas. Residents who want to support the effort are encouraged to consider chaperoning, donating art supplies or snacks.

The Advocating Character Through Service Committee, Students for Students, Key Club, Interact Club and the Glenbard Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports teams are sponsoring the event, according to District 87.
