District 87 Receives $15,500 Grant Toward Healthy LIfestyle Program

Members of the community, including students, staff and residents, are encouraged to register for the Fuel UP to Play 60 program.

From Glenbard District 87

The Glenbard District 87 Wellness Committee is pleased to announce that the school district has been awarded a $15,500 grant from Fuel Up to Play 60, a program founded by the National Dairy Council and NFL, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

This initiative empowers students to take charge by “choosing good-for-you-foods” and being active for at least 60 minutes per day. By making these small everyday changes in their school routines, teen-agers can make a difference, not only in their own lives, but also in their communities, by modeling and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.

It is important to demonstrate student and community support for this program and we encourage all students, staff and community members to register for Fuel Up to Play 60 at www.FUTP60.com.  Just follow the prompt, and indicate your school.
