District 87 Board Will Vote Monday on $35 Million Referendum, Mandatory iPads

Glenbard District 87 School Board will vote on whether to require all freshmen in all four District 87 high schools to have iPads next year. If approved, students would be required to either bring an iPad from home or rent one through the district for $189 a year. Parents also would  be required to pay the digital curriculum fee of $89, which replaces the $125 textbook rental fee.

Also on the agenda Monday is approval of a referendum for the March 18 ballot, which would ask voters permission to issue $35 million in bonds to pay for improvements to the district's four high schools.
