Board of Education Candidate Packets Released From District 41

School District 41 released candidate packets for open Board of Education seats today.

School District 41 released packets for interested candidates seeking open seats on the District's Board of Education today. Four seats will be open on the April 5th, 2011 ballot: three seats for full four-year terms and one seat for an unexpired two-year term. 

Candidate packets can be picked up at the Distrct 41 Central Services Office, 793 N. Main St., on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Candidates are required to submit petitions signed by at least 50 registered voters residing in District 41 to be nominated for the position.

Interested candidates can start petitioning voters as soon as Sep. 21st. Candidates can submit their nominating papers at the District's offices from Dec. 13 to Dec. 20, during normal business hours.

To be eligible for a seat on the board of education, candidates must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Illinois and District 41 for at least one year prior to running.
