Crossing guards wanted

If you have time to help ensure kids get to school safely, the Glen Ellyn Police Department has openings for crossing guards for District 41 elementary school locations.

Crossing guards are trained and paid by the Glen Ellyn Police Department. Anyone who is interested in learning more about becoming a crossing guard should contact Sgt. Norman Webber at 630-469-1187.

District 41 program maintenance

Students who may be using the Odyssey program at home should be aware that there will be no access to the program on Monday due to scheduled maintenance, which is necessary to prepare for the upcoming school year.

Back-to-School week starts Monday in District 87

Back-to-school week gets under way Monday in District 87. During the week, textbooks will be distributed and workbooks, novels and physical education uniforms and locks will be available for purchase. In addition, students receive class schedules and student handbooks and have their yearbook and ID photos taken. Volunteers are also being sought to help out during back-to-school week at Glenbard West.
