Are You Prepared to Pay for College?

Glenbard families are encouraged to attend Conquering the Challenges of College Costs this Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

The Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present Conquering the Challenges of College Costs from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 28.

Given that college costs are a major concern for most families and with recent changes in the student loan program, parents should attend this workshop.  Frank Palmasani, author of Right College, Right Price and creator of the Financial Fit program, will offer examples of net-cost scenarios for college and will explain how to use a website that demonstrates how every family can afford college without excessive borrowing. Participants will learn about financial aid documents such as the FAFSA, award letters and more.

The program will be presented in the auditorium at Glenbard West, 670 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn. Also at 10:30 a.m., Glenbard West guidance counselor Norma Vega-Rodriguez will present a financial aid workshop in Spanish in the Glenbard West library.

This free program is open to all. Babysitting and continental breakfast will be provided. Students also are encouraged to attend.
