Developer Seeks to Bring New Gas Station, Mini-Mart to Glen Ellyn

The DuPage County Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing May 23 to review a proposal for a new gas station at the corner of Butterfield Road and Rte. 53.

The DuPage County Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, May 23 will conduct a public hearing to review a proposal to build an auto service station including a mini-mart, car wash and outdoor dining at 22W030 Butterfield Rd. in Glen Ellyn. 

The developer, who will be represented by Richard McMahon of Buck's Inc. in Rockford, is requesting approval of a planned development to include a gas station, mini-mart, car wash and outdoor dining and variations to allow outdoor displays and additional signage for the business at the intersection of Butterfield Road and Rte. 53, according to a public hearing notice sent Glen Ellyn property owners near the property.

The public hearing will be 6 p.m. Thursday, May 23 at the DuPage County Administration building, 421 County Farm Rd., Wheaton.
