Village Plans Open House for Streetscape, Parking Plan

Village to share first draft of downtown streetscape, parking studies at March 20 open house.

The Village of Glen Ellyn will host an open house Wednesday, March 20 to share the first draft of a downtown streetscape and parking study. 

The village has been working with a steering committee and the consultant team of Houseal Lavigne Associates, Gary R. Weber Associates, Walker Parking and Engineering Resource Associates on a downtown streetscape and parking study after considering the results of a visual preference survey and two online questionnaires.

The study is being funded by a $50,000 grant from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, according to a news release from the Village of Glen Ellyn.

The open house will be held in the Clayton North meeting room on the second floor of the Glen Ellyn Civic Center, 535 Duane Street and will run from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Formal presentations are scheduled for 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. A draft of the study will be available on the project website shortly prior to the open house which can be reached through the Village’s homepage at www.glenellyn.org.
