Village Board Seats New Trustees

The Glen Ellyn Village Board seated three new trustees and appointed Alex Demos to serve as the new Village President.

The Glen Ellyn Village Board Monday seated three new trustees to serve the next four-year term and bid farewell to outgoing trustees, including Village President Mark Pfefferman and trustees Peter Cooper and Phillip Hartweg. 

At a caucus held by the Civic Betterment Party in December, residents chose the three new trustees, Dean Clark, Timothy Elliott and Timothy O’Shea, and selected Trustee Alexander Demos to serve as the new Village President, Catherine Galvin to serve as the new Village Clerk and Gina Meyers, Randolph “Ran” Sailer and Kelli Christiansen to serve on the Library Board.

Demos, 50, is President/CEO of Professional Paving & Concrete Company, Inc.

Dean Clark, 66, is President & CEO, Graphic Chemical & Ink Company. Timothy Elliott, 41, is a partner with the law firm of Rathje & Woodward, LLC. Tim O’Shea, 45, is Chief Operating Officer of a financial services firm.

Catherine Galvin, 48, is an account rep for a food broker.

Kelli Christiansen, 43, launched bibliobibuli professional editorial services in 2007. Gina Meyers, 52, is a technology and business training consultant. Randolph "Ran" Sailer, 57, is a retired attorney who most recently was General Counsel of a publicly traded mortgage insurance company.

In a letter to village team members, Pfefferman thanked fellow trustees, village staff and supporters, and noted how each person contributed to the village during his time on the board.

He wrote, "Thank you to those that encouraged me to run and supported the election, both good friends and people I had never met.  Thank you for this honor. We are forever indebted. Not letting you down was a huge motivation. I hope I met your expectations and that you feel our village is growing in the right direction."

All Board members were sworn in by the Honorable John Demling. The next Village Board meeting will be Monday, May 20 at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center.
