The Taylor Street underpass will be closed for improvements to the bridge structure beginning Sept. 20, according to the Village of Glen Ellyn.
Previously, it was announced that the underpass would close on Sept. 17, but Union Pacific announced the change, according to the village. The underpass will remain closed until about the week of Nov. 12.
No vehicle traffic will be allowed through the underpass during the construction, according to the village.
The Glen Ellyn Police and Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company will be making operational changes while the underpass is closed, the village said.
Anyone who wants additional information on the project may contact Union Pacific at 888-877-7267.
