Now the Republican rhetoric gets even worse. This morning during the announcement of Ryan the new phrase added was "Obama stole Medicare's money" Come on guys. With nutty comments like that you only alienate sensible people. Debate the facts. Be civil. Play fair. Obama won his chance at bat. Just saying "no" is poor sportsmanship. Ryan only adds to the craziness.

Actually, Obamacare does take over $700 million from Medicare to help keep the projected costs of Obamacare down. For more on what Ryan is all about, read the article and links on this blog http://www.lifeplanningtoday.com/

Why do you insist on calling it Obamacare? As we all know it is really the Affordable Healthcare Act. Using terms like "Obamacare" and "entitlements" are semantic tricks used to change perspective from the merits of a program to hatred for the people involved. Ad hominen attacks are considered the weakest form of argument in debate as you must know. So why do you persist in reducing the debate to attacks on the people?

I thought the healthcare bill was President Obama's signature achievement as President.... One of President Bush's proudest accomplishments was cutting income tax brackets (raising tax revenues) and they have been forever known as the "Bush Tax Cuts". What's the difference?

As you well know, the difference is that the Affordable Healthcare Act has that specific name. Calling it Obamacare is a strategy to militate his opposition. You are disingenuous to suggest that you admire anything about President Obama's effort. I suggest that the term you are trying to avoid is "affordable.". Anything that actually describes the act itself and puts the President in a favorable light.
