Park District Holds Public Hearing on Proposed Tax Levy Increase

Tonight's meeting starts at 7 p.m.

Tonight, Glen Ellyn Park District commissioners invite residents to voice their questions or concerns over a proposed 2011 tax levy increase. The Park District is considering a levy total of $6,125,614. 

Without the increase, Superintendent of Finance and Personnel Nick Cinquegrani said there's a possibility services would be cut. Cinquegrani said the increase in taxes the Park District would collect is needed to offset operating costs.
