Park District Board Will Appoint New Executive Director

The board will also talk about transparency at tonight's meeting.

The appointment of a new executive director and a discussion on transparency are some of the highlights for Thursday’s Glen Ellyn Park District Board of Commissioners meeting.

“We’re looking forward to announcing our new executive director at this meeting and approving the contract,” Creech wrote. “Also on the agenda is the new Finance Committee bylaws and members and a discussion about ways to make the park district more transparent.”

Creech said in an interview that she could not reveal the identity of the new director, but the director would be at the meeting.

Thursday’s meeting is also a workshop meeting, in which the board commissioners will discuss at length different topics, particularly how to notify residents of the meetings.

“I think there’s some lost cost solutions out there to make our meetings available to the public,” Creech said, adding that not everyone is able to make it out to the board’s meetings.
