New DuPage Republican Party Chairman Arrested for DUI

State Rep. Randy Ramey registered a .17 blood-alcohol level, The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting.

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that state  (R-55th, Carol Stream) was arrested over the weekend in Carol Stream for drunk driving. His blood-alcohol level was more than two times the legal limit according to the article.

According to the Sun-Times, Ramey is the stepson of former Senate President James "Pate" Philip. He took over the helm of the DuPage County Republican Party in July, filling the unexpired term of DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin of Elmhurst.
