Pension Reform in Illinois Public Invited

The Glen Ellyn League of Women Voters will host their annual "Kick-Off " for their program year on Thursday, September 13, 7:00 p.m, at the Glen Ellyn Boathouse.  The speaker will be State Representative Sandra Pihos, who will discuss pension reform in Illinois.  The public is invited to attend this informative meeting.

Pension reform is presently being considered by the State Legislature.  Any legislation enacted, or the State's failure to act, will have significant fiscal and budgetary implications for the state of Illinois, as well as, taxpayers and those who receive state pensions or will in the future.

The League of Women Voters Glen Ellyn is a non-partisan organization devoted to promoting voter rights and citizen involvement in our democracy.  For more information please visit www.lwvge.org or call League President Diana Hoke at 630-660-8523.
