ComEd Letter Sent in Error to Glen Ellyn Electric Customers

The following information comes from a July 16 village of Glen Ellyn e-newsletter.

The Village would like to advise residents that a letter sent to all Glen Ellyn electric customers from ComEd informing them that as of August 12, 2014 their new electric supplier would be ComEd was sent in error.

Here are the facts:

  • ComEd sent out the letter in error, all residents currently with Verde as part of the electrical aggregation program will remain in the program.
  • Beginning August 1, 2014, residents who did not previously opt-out of the electric aggregation program, will be automatically enrolled with First Energy Solutions, our new electric provider.
  • No residents will lose electricity.
