Glen Ellyn's Sunset pool needs up to $1.7 million in improvements, according to a recent report by a consultant to the village, MySuburbanLife.com reports.

The consultant's recommendations include making the entry deeper and shorter, adding high-efficiency filters and heaters, installing family changing rooms, removing a sand play area and adding a new climbing wall, among other improvements, according to MySuburbanLife.com.

My kids Love That Pirate Ship Sand Pit!!! They Spend half their time in there. A better shower system for washing off sand would be a better solution! The shower knobs are too hard for kids to push and half the time they don't work.

I agree, keep the sand pits. Kids sometimes need a break or get cold from swimming all day
