Thousands Without Power After Sunday Storms

A severe thunderstorm whipped through Glen Ellyn leaving numerous downed trees and power lines.

Approximately 16,340 customers in the Glen Ellyn area are without power at this time, according to ComEd's outage map.

A severe thunderstorm with hail and damaging winds whipped through Glen Ellyn around noon Sunday, July 1. Currently, there are numerous trees and downed wires throughout Glen Ellyn. It's unclear how long these customers will be without power.

We read about the 500 block of Forest Ave. The National Weather service reports severe damage on this block. Do you have additional photos?
