Six Arrested for DUIs

The following arrest reports were taken from the Glen Ellyn police blotter.

Over the last week of March and first week of April, Glen Ellyn Police issued six DUIs, including once count of aggravated driving under the influence.

Three of the DUIs occurred on Roosevelt Road, including the arrest for aggravated driving under the influence.

On April 2 Glen Ellyn police arrested Anselmo Flores-Najera of Glen Ellyn, who was charged with one count felony for aggravated driving under the influence. Additionally, Flores-Najera was issued traffic citations for driving with a suspended license, expired automobile registration and illegal transportation of alcohol.

On March 31, police arrested David Sampiller of West Chicago. Sampiller was arrested on Roosevelt Road after police observed erratic driving. Sampiller was charged with a two counts for driving under the influence and was issued traffic citations for improper lane usage and speeding.

Police arrested Timothy C. Schmidt of West Dundee after observing erratic driving along Geneva Road on March 27. Schmidt was charged with a two counts of driving under the influence and issued a traffic citation for improper lane usage.

The same night police arrested Raquel Diaz of Glen Ellyn along Swift Road.  Diaz was charged with a one count of driving under the influence and issued a traffic citation for improper parking on roadway.

Thomas Taylor of Glen Ellyn was arrested March 30 at the intersection of Roosevelt and Lambert roads. Taylor was charged with one count for driving under the influence and issued a traffic citation for improper lane usage.

On March 31 Glen Ellyn Police charged Christopher R. Carsello of Villa Park with one count of driving under the influence as well as having an expired registration. Carsello was arrested at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Exmoor Avenue.
