Mailbox Tipped

Somone knocked over a mailbox located in a parkway on the 100 block of Spring and caused $50 worth of damage, police said. The incident occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. May 18 and 5 a.m. on this day.

Cell Phone Swiped

Someone stole a $150 cell phone left unattended on bleachers by the court in Village Green Park on the 130 block of South Lambert. The incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Door Handle Broken

Someone broke a driver’s side door handle from a parked vehicle on the 700 block of Roosevelt Road. The incident occurred sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

THURSDAY, MAY 16

Public Intoxication

James M. Ostrowski, 56, of the 2100 block of Root Street, Crest Hill, was charged at 9:11 p.m. with public intoxication on the 500 block of Roosevelt Road.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 15

Roadway Graffiti

Spray-painted graffiti in the roadway was reported at 4:43 a.m. at Montclair and Revere. The village Public Works Department was notified to have it removed, police said.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle

Someone entered a locked vehicle and stole speakers and an amp from the trunk at the intersection of Lenox and Hawthorne. The incident occurred sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

TUESDAY, MAY 14

Brick Wall Graffiti

Spray-painted graffiti on the brick wall of a building was reported at 10:15 a.m. on the 500 block of Crescent. The building owners was contacted so it could be removed, police said.

MONDAY, MAY 13

Underpass Graffiti

Spray-painted graffiti on the Taylor Street underpass wall was reported at 2:37 p.m. The village Public Works Department was notified to have it removed, police said.

Whackers, Chainsaw Taken

Someone stole two weed whackers and one chainsaw from a landscaping trailer while it was parked at the Baker Hill Shopping Complex, police said. The total loss is estimated at $1,100.
