Police: Man Sold Fake Blackhawk Tickets Over Craigslist

A 29-year-old Bolingbrook man was arrested Thursday for Issue/Delivery of Forged Documents.

DuPage County Sheriff's officers arrested a 29-year-old Bolingbrook man Thursday on allegations that he sold fake Blackhawk tickets on Craigslist, according to a sheriff's office news release.

An investigation into Edgar I. Kim began after police received a report from a person who said they had purchased tickets from Kim on Craiglist. The two met at a business in unincorporated DuPage County where the victim received the tickets.

It wasn’t until the victim went to the game that it was discovered  the tickets were not real, according to the press release.

Police investigated the sale of the fake tickets and said multiple leads were followed, which led to the arrest of Kim who is currently being held in the DuPage County Jail on $10,000 bond. He is charged with Issue/Delivery of Forged Documents.
