Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Glen Ellyn Pharmacy

The Glen Ellyn Police Department are investigating an armed robbery that occurred around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Glen Ellyn Pharmacy, according to the Daily Herald. 

Police said a man entered the pharmacy, located at 486 Roosevelt Road, and pointed a handgun at an employee before demanding hydrocodone, according to the article. After receiving the pills, police said he reached into the cash register and took an undetermined amount of money, the Daily Herald reports. 

No one was injured in the armed robbery and police said the man left the store and was last seen walking west, according to Suburban Life Publications. 

The suspect is described as a white male, 50 years old, 6 feet tall, 165 pounds and police say he was wearing a khaki jacket and blue knit hat, according to Suburban Life Publications.
