Police Blotter: Stolen Phone, Egged Car, Cannabis Possession

SUNDAY, FEB. 24

Driving under the influence

  • Ingrid S. Cruz, 50, of the 6200 block of Chase Avenue, Downers Grove, was arrested at 1:25 a.m. at Main Street and Wilson Avenue, Glen Ellyn police said. She was charged with driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving under the influence.
  • Michael J. Waters, 29, of the 3S200 block of Cypress, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. at Arbor Lane and Arboretum Road, police said. He was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, driving and uninsured motor vehicle, speeding, improper lane use and driving under the influence.
SATURDAY, FEB. 23

Possession

Police said Michael Jon Conrad II, 23, of the first block of Briar Street, was arrested at 7:29 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Surrey Drive. He was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license, disobeying a stop sign, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis.

Criminal damage

Police said someone threw a cinder block through a patio door window causing it to shatter in the 300 block of Spruce. The incident was reported at 8 p.m.

Vehicle Burglary

A vehicle parked in a driveway in the 700 block of Chidester was burglarized between 11:15 p.m. Feb. 22 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 23. The vehicle was left unlocked and a cell phone was taken.   

THURSDAY, FEB. 21

Public intoxication

Anthony M. Krause, 24, of 703 W. Liberty (DuPage PADS), Wheaton, was arrested at 4:38 p.m. at Jewel, 599 Roosevelt Road, police said. He was charged with public intoxication.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 20

Driving under the influence

Police said Aleksandra Babic, 28, of the 5S600 block of Buttonwood Court, Naperville, was arrested at 12:07 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Pershing Avenue. She was charged with speeding, driving under the influence and improper lane use.

Retail theft

Someone stole a bottle of liquor from Jewel, 599 Roosevelt Road. The theft was reported at 5:42 p.m., police said.

Burglary

Tools were reported stolen at 5:42 p.m. from a maintenance garage in the 500 block of Crescent Boulevard, police said. No value was provided for the stolen items.

TUESDAY, FEB. 19

Possession

Frederick V. Palma, 19, of the 100 block of South Park Boulevard, was arrested at 8:51 p.m. in the 400 block of Park Boulevard, police said. He was charged with driving an uninsured motor vehicle and possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis.

Theft

Someone stole a cell phone from a gym locker at Glenbard West High School, 670 Crescent Blvd. The report was made at 8:30 a.m. The phone was valued at less than $500.

SUNDAY, FEB. 17

Damage to property

Someone egged a stop sign and a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 500 block of Turner Avenue, police said. The incident took place at 1:53 a.m.
