SUNDAY, AUG. 5

Driving under the influence

Zam T. Thang, 42, of the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, was arrested at 9:41 p.m. on his block, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Theft

said someone reported that a carton of cigarettes was stolen at 6:46 p.m. from the BP, 339 Roosevelt Rd.

Vehicle burglary

A resident in the 100 block of Exmoor Avenue reported that an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway was burglarized between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Sunday, police said. Miscellaneous items and a GPS were stolen.

SATURDAY, AUG. 4

Driving under the influence

Mark J. Arnold, 66, of the 400 block of Elm Street, was arrested at 1:03 a.m. in the 100 block of Tanglewood Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to give information after hitting an unattended vehicle or property, police said.

Public intoxication

Scott A. Benham, 36, of the 200 block of north Main Street, was arrested at 7:41 p.m. at the Manor Park, Illinois Street and Hillcrest Avenue, police said. He was charged with public intoxication and transportation of alcoholic beverages on park district property. 

FRIDAY, AUG. 3

Suspended license

Cameron Keys, 21, of the 1800 block of north Merrimac, Chicago, was arrested at 1:48 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Main Street, police said. He was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and driving with improper lighting – one headlamp.

Retail theft

Police said they received a report that at 12:01 a.m. someone stole several items from Dominick’s, 880 Roosevelt Rd. The items stolen were not specified.

Vehicle burglary

A resident in the 600 block of north Park Boulevard reported that between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 11:25 a.m. Friday someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway and stole a coin purse along with other items.

Warrant arrest

Edward E. Fields, 31, of the 14800 block of south Madison, Harvey, was arrested at 1:48 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Main Street, police said. He was charged on an instate warrant for failure to appear in court for a burglary and cannabis possession arrest from DeKalb County.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 1

Vehicle burglary

A cell phone valued at $400 was stolen between 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Dawes, police said. The vehicle was left unlocked in a driveway.

Retail theft

Police said someone stole miscellaneous items from Walgreens, 324 Roosevelt Rd. The theft occurred at about 9:45 p.m. 

Theft

A cell phone that was forgotten on the front counter at the YMCA, 49 Deicke Dr., was stolen at 9:15 p.m., police said.

THURSDAY, AUG. 2

Criminal damage

Police said it was reported that an unknown person threw an object at a window in the 100 block of Parkside and broke it. The incident occurred at about 9:16 p.m.

Vehicle burglary

Police said a resident in the 600 block of Park Boulevard reported that between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday a vehicle was burglarized. Someone entered the unlocked vehicle while it was parked in a driveway. A cellular phone charger valued at about $25 was stolen.

TUESDAY, JULY 31

Criminal trespass

Ryan J. Kavanaugh, 18, of the 900 block of Winslow Circle, was arrested at 2:06 a.m. at 430 Pennsylvania Ave., DuPage Medical Group, police said. He was charged with criminal trespass to property and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Possession

Torey. J. Fobbs, 18, of the 1300 block of Lorraine, Wheaton, was arrested at 10:03 p.m. at Lambert Road and Orchard Lane, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis, 30 grams and under.

Criminal damage

A resident in the 600 block of Duane Street, reported that at 1:20 a.m. someone set fire to a book drop box located on the resident’s property, police said.

MONDAY, JULY 30

Vandalism

Someone used a white liquate to tag a north facing window with graffiti on a building in the 500 block of Roosevelt Road, police said. The incident occurred at about 10:39 p.m.

SUNDAY, JULY 29

Driving under the influence

Elias R. Lopez, 31, of the 300 block of Windsor Court, South Elgin, was arrested at 12:35 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and I-355, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use.

Possession

  • Aaron R. Lauer, 31, of the 0 N 200 block of Cumnor Avenue, was arrested at 1:56 a.m. at Forest and Cottage avenues, police said. He was charged with possession of drug equipment, a sign violation and driving under the influence.
  • Nathaniel L. Haas, 33, of the 400 block of north Main Street, was arrested at 1:56 a.m. at Forest and Cottage avenues, police said. He was charged with possession of drug equipment.

No license

Emily A. Rooney, 19, of the 21 W 400 block of Fairway Avenue, was arrested at 4:50 a.m. at Elm and Main, police said. She was charged with driving without a license.
