Police Blotter: Public Indecency, Cannabis Possession, Making a Lasting Impression

Glen Ellyn Police Department reports, Aug. 13 to 19.


Disorderly conduct

James T. McJoynt, 32, of the 400 block of Raintree Drive was arrested at 8:35 a.m. in the 400 block of Raintree Drive, Glen Ellyn Police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct.



Someone reported that a bicycle was stolen at 10 a.m. at Parkside and Summerdale avenues, police said. The bike was left unattended in the front yard. It was valued under $500.


Criminal damage

  • Police said someone reported at 7:14 p.m. an unknown person drove a vehicle through wet concrete in the street at Fawell Boulevard and Ramblewood Drive.
  • Someone damaged shutters on a ventilation fan and exhaust fan on a storage locker at 3:03 p.m. in the 500 block of Pershing Avenue. 



Police said Eric R. Smith, 20, of the 1 S 400 block of Lewis Avenue, Lombard, was arrested at 11:33 a.m. at St. Charles and Swift roads. He was charged with possession of cannabis, 30 grams and under, possession of drug equipment, driving while his license was suspended and disobeying a traffic control device.

Driving under the influence

Allyson L. Popa, 19, of the 1100 block of Sunset Road, Wheaton, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Lorraine Street, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence – zero tolerance law, disobeying a traffic control signal and improper lane use.


Police said a resident reported at 11 a.m. that an unknown person stole a license plate from a vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot in the 100 block of Briar Street. The theft occured between Aug. 12 and 16.


Illegal transportation

Carolin A. Schafer, 27, of the 4400 block of McPherson Avenue, St. Louis, was arrested at 6:33 p.m. in the 100 block of Parkside Avenue, police said. She was charged with illegal transportation of liquor and littering.

Driving under the influence

Police said Stephanie P. Murray, 22, of the 8100 block of Route 53, was arrested at 8:48 p.m. at Park Boulevard and Roosevelt Road. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to yield turning left. 


Public indecency

James R. Winchester, 65, of 703 W. Liberty, (DuPage PADS), Wheaton, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. in the 500 block of Roosevelt Road. He was charged with public intoxication and public indecency.


Driving under the influence

Police said Christopher T. Camp, 40, of the 900 block of Roslyn Road, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. at Crescent Boulevard and Main Street. He was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and failure to carry his driver’s license.
