Police Blotter: 4 Cited for DUI
The following arrest information was supplied by the Glen Ellyn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
DUI: Lynn C. Klein, 49, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with driving under the influence on Jan. 1 at 11 a.m. near Old Bond Court in Glen Ellyn.
DUI: Maung A. Keh, 24, of Indiana, was charged with driving under the influence near Roosevelt Road and Parkside Avenue on Jan. 3 at 11:57 p.m. According to the report, Keh was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
DUI: Giovanni Oriente, 28, of Homer Glen, was charged with driving under the influence near Main and Elm Streets on Jan. 5 at 12:50 a.m. According to the report, Oriente was also cited for failure to signal and improper turn at an intersection.

DUI: Samuel G. Bent, 19, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with driving under the influence near Waverly Road and Woodstock Avenue on Jan. 7 at 4:31 a.m. Bent was also cited for improper lane usage and no driver's license on person.
Criminal damage to motor vehicle: An unknown offender dented a vehicle in the 500 block of Turner Avenue sometime between 7 a.m. on Jan. 2 and 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 7.

Criminal damage to vehicle: An unknown offender broke the front driver's side window of a car while it was parked near Duane Street and Lowell Avenue. The incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on Jan. 4 and 1:49 a.m. on Jan. 5.
Criminal damage to property: An unknown offender damaged a window of a home in the 700 block of Fairview Avenue on Jan. 5 between 12:01 a.m. and 7 a.m.
No valid driver's license: Edgar Vasquez, 32, of Carol Stream, was charged with driving without a valid driver's license near DuPage River and Route 53 on Jan. 6 at 12:09 a.m. According to the report, Vasquez was also cited for speeding.
Possession of drug equipment: Gabriel N. Van Haefner, 18, of Wheaton, was charged with possession of drug equipment near Walnut Glen Park, 860 Walnut St., on Jan. 6 at 10:16 p.m.
Theft: An unknown offender stole a cell phone from a complainant at Ackerman Park, 800 St. Charles Rd., on Jan. 6 sometime between 5:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
