Police Blotter: Domestic Battery, DUI and Theft Reports

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glen Ellyn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Domestic battery: Officers responded to domestic battery report in the 100 block of Grove Avenue on July 13 at 1:20 p.m. According to the report, Todd R. Sladek, 23, of the 100 block of Grove Avenue, Glen Ellyn, was charged with a two count complaint for domestic battery and one count complaint for criminal damage to property. Sladek was transported to the DuPage County Jail. 

Domestic battery: Officers responded to a domestic battery report in the 400 block of Kenilworth Avenue on July 10 at 1:57 p.m. According to the report, a juvenile was transported to the DuPage County Juvenile Detention Center. 

DUI: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop near Roosevelt Road and Sunset Avenue on July 14 at 1:11 a.m. According to the report, Kevin J. Hosea, 26, of 2 Wheaton Center, Wheaton, was charged with a two count complaint for driving under the influence and issued traffic citations for speeding, failure to signal and improper lane usage.

Theft: Officers responded to a reported theft at Jewel, 599 Roosevelt Rd., on July 10 at 12:04 a.m. According to the report, an unknown offender stole a large bag of M & M's candy, ice cream and a frozen dinner. 

Burglary from motor vehicle: A complainant reported an unknown offender entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her wallet from the center console, which was parked in the lot near the field house at Glenbard West High School. The incident occurred sometime between 9 and 10:30 a.m. on July 10.

Criminal damage to property: Officers responded to a damage report in the 100 block of Main Street on July 13 at 6 p.m. According to the report, An unknown offender flattened the tires on the complainant's bicycle and his child's bicycle.

No valid driver's license: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop near Geneva and Bloomingdale Roads on July 11 at 1:19 a.m. According to the report, Aurelio Damian-Ignacio, 29, of the 100 block of Michigan Avenue, Addison, was issued traffic citations for driving without a valid driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
