Police Blotter: Dine and Dash, Keep the Change, Cannabis Possession

SATURDAY, DEC. 29

Warrant arrest

Hector Andres, 31, of the 1300 block of South Finley Road, Lombard, was arrested at 6:47 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Surrey Drive, Glen Ellyn police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended license, driving without lights and on an in-state warrant from the DuPage County Sheriff.

Public intoxication

Brian T. Sheridan, 22, of the 100 block of Forest Avenue, was arrested at 1:39 a.m. in the 400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, police said. He was charged with public intoxication.

Driving under the influence

Anna L. Marrero, 37, of the 2000 block of Prentiss, Downers Grove, was arrested at 3:22 a.m. at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Exmoor Avenue, police said. She was charged with speeding and driving under the influence.

Suspended license

Police said Jose S. Garcia, 57, of the 3500 block of West 57th Place, Chicago, was arrested at 6:56 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Main Street. He was charged with driving without lights and driving while his license was suspended.

Theft

• Police said someone reported iron fencing was stolen outside of a business at 490 Crescent Boulevard. The theft took place between 9 p.m. Dec. 26 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 27. The fencing was valued at about $250.
• An unlocked vehicle was entered and burglarized while parked in a lot in the 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, police said. A cell phone charger, sunglasses and about 50 cents were reportedly stolen some time between 5 and 6:45 p.m.

Warrant arrest

Joaquin Moreno, 23, of the first block of Briar Street, was arrested at 5:12 p.m. at Briar and Brighton streets, police said. He was charged with driving without a registration, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while his license was revoked and on an in-state warrant from the DuPage County Sheriff.

Paraphernalia possession

Police said William Elling, 30, of the first block of Wheaton Center, Wheaton, was arrested at 9:36 p.m. at Surrey Drive and Route 53. He was charged with disobeying a stop sign and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Driving under the influence

Max Tejada, 31, of the first block of Briar Street, was arrested at 1:41 a.m. at Briar and Brighton streets, police said. He was charged with improper lane use, driving without a license and driving under the influence.

Possession

Anthony A. Hanson, 19, of the 500 block of Carlisle, was arrested at 9:26 p.m. at Park Boulevard and Raintree Drive, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis, 30 grams and under. 

Theft

Police said that an unknown person or persons ordered dinner at Lu’s Sushi and Chinese, 579 Roosevelt Road, and left without paying. The incident was reported at 7 p.m.
