Police Blotter: $900 Worth of Meat Stolen, Car Window Shattered While Driving

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glen Ellyn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Obstructing an officer

Joshua E. Podzimek, 19, of Glen Ellyn and Ulysses Benitez, 19, of Addison were cited for obstructing an officer on April 15 at 5:58 p.m. in the 300 block of Male Street.

Melissa E. Andrekus, 29, of Wheaton was charged with driving under the influence and cited for a sign violation and improper lane usage on April 17 at 2:15 a.m. near Main and Hill Streets.

Lukasz Poplawski, 20, of Bloomingdale was charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis, drug equipment and cited for an improper turn at an intersection on April 20 at 1:09 a.m. near Main Street and Great Western Trail.

Disorderly conduct
John O. Barron Jr., 55, of Chicago was cited for disorderly conduct in the 500 block of Crescent Boulevard on April 17 at 1 p.m. 

Public intoxication
Bradley J. Earls, 50, of Wheaton was cited for public intoxication at 7-Eleven, 6 S. Park Blvd., on April 18 at 9:25 p.m. 

Possession of cannabis
Luis E. Escalante, 20, of Addison was charged with possession of cannabis on April 19 at 7:41 p.m. near Park Boulevard and Raintree Drive. Escalante had an in-state warrant for his arrest. 

Theft
An unknown offender stole a cell phone from a student's backpack at Hadley Junior High School, 240 Hawthorne Blvd., on April 16 at 2 p.m. 

An unknown offender stole packaged meat valued at $923.06 from Chicago Prime Meat Market, 682 Roosevelt Rd., sometime between 3 p.m. on April 19 and 11 a.m. on April 20. 

Criminal damage to vehicle
An unknown offender damaged the hood of a vehicle in the 700 block of Roosevelt Road sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 17. 

An unknown offender shattered the front passenger-side window of a vehicle while driving on Briar Street between Roosevelt Road and Brighton Place on April 22 at 9:19 p.m. 

Burglary
An unknown offender stole two bicycles from a multi-unit garage on April 22 at 3:30 p.m. The estimated value of the bikes is $350. 

An unknown offender stole a multi-purpose tool from the front seat of an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Fawell Boulevard on April 22 at 5 p.m.
