Police: Addison Man Arrested for Cruel Treatment of Animals

Persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Police responded to the following reports and made the following arrests in recent days: 

Cruel Treatment of Animals 

Ismael C. Andrade, 39, of Addison, was arrested at the Budgetel Inn, 675 Roosevelt, at 4:13 a.m. on Jan. 28 for cruel treatment of animals.

Possession of Alcohol by Minor/Warrant

Jovane Aparicio, 19, was arrested at Main and Ridgewood at 8:34 p.m. on Jan. 31 and charged on a state warrant from DuPage County Sheriff's Office for illegal possession of alcohol by minor. 

Theft of Motor Vehicle

Police received a report at 11:45 p.m. on Jan. 26 regarding a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant that was stolen from 799 Rooseelt and First Transit. Police say an unknown offender stole the vehicle, which was left unlocked and running. 

Criminal Defacement

Police received reports at 11:03 p.m. on Jan. 26 of several defaced street signs and one construction sign. Spray paint was used to deface the signs at Park and Oak, Park and Elm, Oak and Lenox Hawthorne, Ellyn Montclair and Highview and in the 600 block of Chidster.
