Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Car in Unincorporated Wheaton

Shawn D. Somerville, 49, of Wheaton was killed after being hit by a car at the intersection of Geneva Road and Knollwood Drive around 12:15 a.m. in unincorporated Wheaton, according to a press release from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the accident. The vehicle was traveling westbound on Geneva Road, west of Gary Avenue when it Somerville, who was walking in the roadway at Knollwood Drive. Somerville was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.
