OMG PD: Halloween Wreck, Bike Bashes Car, Pregame at Dawn

ST. CHARLES

Elburn police responded to a rollover accident along Route 38 at 4:36 p.m. Oct. 31 to find two people running away from the accident into a cornfield. Elburn police requested a K-9 unit, and St. Charles police assisted but were unable to locate any suspects. St. Charles police then went to the 1600 block of Covington Court in St. Charles, where they met with the owner of the wrecked car, who had just returned home from work about 7:05 p.m.

The owner, a 44-year-old resident, told police the vehicle, a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am, had been left unlocked with the keys under the driver’s seat in a parking lot on Wessel Court earlier in the day. The owner told police he did not know of anyone besides his wife who would have known the vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside.

Beer Before Breakfast?

Glen Ellyn police said three underage women were arrested at 6:18 a.m. Nov. 2 in the 300 block of Alder Lane. Joannie Y. Lopez, 19, of the 30W100 block of Maplewood Court in Warrenville, Erika M. Ballard, 20, of the 1500 block of Fender Road in Naperville and Liza M. Venegas, 19, of the 300 block of Alder Lane, were all charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and fighting.

GENEVA

Bicycle Busts Up Car

A bicycle ridden by Nicholas Limonez. 23, of Geneva collided with a Toyota Avalon driven by Kelly White, 45, of St. Charles around 6:05 p.m. Nov. 2 at the intersection of North Sixth Street and Peyton Street.

According to reports, Limonez was pedaling south on Sixth Street when his bicycle hit the Avalon as it was turning west onto Peyton Street. Damage to the Avalon was estimated at more than $1,500.

Limonez suffered minor scrapes to his hand and leg but told police he did not think any damage had been done to the bicycle.
