North Aurora Man in Critical Condition Following Motorcycle Collision

A 50-year-old North Aurora man is in critical condition Thursday at a suburban hospital after he was airlifted from the scene of a two-motorycle crash on Route 64 in Virgil Wednesday evening, according to the Kane County Chronicle. 

Steven Wenger was riding with another motorcyclist, Timothy Corbitt, 55, of Elburn, when the collision happened on Route 64 just west of Meredith Road at 5:10 p.m., according to the article.

Corbitt was treated and released at the scene and received a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, the Kane County Chronicle reports.

Wenger was airlifted to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, according to the Daily Herald. Neither of the motorcyclists were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
