No Injuries In Sheffield Court Fire Friday Morning

The Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company responded to the fire after 7:26 a.m. Friday.

A small fire was quickly extinguished Friday morning at a home in the first block of West 103 Sheffield Court in Glen Ellyn. No one was injured in the fire and the residents all escaped without incident.

The call for the fire came in at 7:26 a.m. Friday, Craig Eldridge, the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company’s public information officer said in a news release issued late Friday night. The fire appeared to have started in a bedroom closet.

When the first engine arrived on the scene responders confirmed smoke was showing and quickly extinguished the fire.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation, Eldridge said. The amount of damage to the property was not disclosed.
