No Injuries in Home Fire in Unincorporated Glen Ellyn

One occupant evacuated safely from a fire in a single family home in unincorporated Glen Ellyn.

No one was injured in a fire at a single family home in the 600 block of Newton Avenue in unincorporated Glen Ellyn Tuesday afternoon, Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company officials said in a news release.

Fire officials responded to the scene about 1:30 p.m., where fire was coming out of two windows. One person evacuated the home safely. No fire officials sustained injures.

The fire caused significant damage to the one story home and is currently under investigation, according to the release.
