Neighbors Brawl and 16 Individuals Caught Drinking Underage

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glen Ellyn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Consumption of alcohol by a minor: Officers responded to a noise complaint regarding a loud party in the 600 block of High Road on Aug. 14 at 10:19 p.m. According to the report, officers made contact with multiple individuals who were issued citations for consumption of alcohol by a minor. According to the report, one minor, Joshua Stein, was also issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. The following individuals were cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor:

  • Joshua A. Stein, 18, of the 300 block of Lorraine Street, Glen Ellyn.
  • Jarrid J. Arranz, 18, of the 300 block of Cimmaron Road, Lombard. 
  • Catherine E. Gibson, 18, of the 800 block of Hillside Avenue, Glen Ellyn. 
  • Devin M. Patterson, 18, of the 100 block of Ash Street, Lombard.
  • Dominic A. Masciola, 19, of the 22W300 block of 2nd Street Glen Ellyn. 
  • Mark E. Cebula, 19, of the 600 block of High Road, Glen Ellyn. 
  • 16-year-old male juvenile. 


Attempted residential burglary: Officers responded to a report of a “peeping tom” in the 1100 block of Heather Lane on Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. According to the report, a resident at that location told officers that the rear kitchen window and screen were found wide open. There is no offender information.

Burglary to motor vehicle: Officers responded to three separate burglary incidents between Aug. 14 at 10 p.m. and Aug. 15 at 5:30 a.m. According to the report, an unknown offender entered unlocked vehicles and removed iPods, cash, and GPS systems. Items were removed from vehicles at the following locations: 

  • 800 block of Eastern Avenue
  • 700 block of Elm Street
  • 700 block of Lincoln Avenue


Consumption of alcohol by a minor: Officers responded to a disturbance report at B&D Liquors, 1184 Roosevelt Rd., on Aug. 15 at 8:51 p.m. According to the report, an unknown subjected entered the store and appeared to be intoxicated. An officer then made contact with Ali L. Pouliot, 20, and issued her a citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor. 

Theft of motor vehicle parts: Officers responded to a reported theft in the 500 block of Pershing Avenue on Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. According to the report, an unknown offender removed a spare tire. The approximate value of the tire was $90.

Consumption of alcohol by a minor: While conducting a foot patrol in the 600 block of Roosevelt Road, officers heard loud music and voices coming from the location. Officers made contact with multiple individuals who were issued citations for drinking underage. Stephanie Segura was also issued a citation for liquor law occupant responsibility. The following individuals were cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor:

  • Stephanie L. Segura, 20, of the 18W200 block of Lathrop Lane, Villa Park. 
  • Jessica N. Santiago, 20, of the 18W200 block of Kirkland Lane, Villa Park. 
  • Cesar M. Dolores, 20, of the 1S300 block of Windsor Lane, Villa Park. 
  • Nico L. Watkins, 18, of the 800 block of Broadway Street, Lombard. 
  • Amere Catrejon, 20, of the 18W100 block 14th Street, Villa Park. 
  • Cherelle R. Bilal, 20, of the 1S200 Ingersoll Lane, Villa Park. 
  • 15-year-old female juvenile
  • 16-year-old female juvenile
  • 17-year-old female juvenile


Driving while license suspended: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop near Interstate 355 and Roosevelt Road on Aug. 14 at 7:35 a.m. According to the report, Andre P. Gharibadeh, 20 of the 24200 block of Leski Lane, Plainfield, was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license.

Driving under the influence of alcohol: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop near Geneva Road and Avon Court on Aug. 18 at 9:11 p.m. According to the report, Bruce W. Labieniec, 56, of the 500 block of Thornhill Drive, Carol Stream, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and was issued a traffic citation for speeding.

Burglary to motor vehicle: Officers responded to a reported theft at 7 a.m. on Aug. 19. According to the report, an unknown offender stole a car adapter cord from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Exmoor Avenue. The approximate value of the cord was $15.

Theft under 500: According to the report, an unknown offender stole a bicycle from the bike rack located on the west side of the train depot, 555 Crescent Blvd., sometime between 8 a.m. on Aug. 19 and 10 a.m. on Aug. 22. The bike is valued at $200.

Theft under $500: Officers responded to a reported theft in the 600 block of Crescent Boulevard on Aug. 16 at 7:15 p.m. According to the report, an unknown offender stole a bicycle that was secured to the bike rack. The bike is valued at $220.

Retail theft: Officers responded to a reported retail theft at Dominick’s, 880 Roosevelt Rd., on Aug. 17 at 8 p.m. According to the report, a group of juveniles entered the liquor department and stole a bottle of liquor.

Liquor license violation: While on routine patrol, an officer noticed three patrons were served alcohol while sitting at the sidewalk tables at the Gratto Restaurant, 433 N. Main St., on Aug. 17 at 7:30 p.m. According to the report, the manager Eric M. Reboletti, 38, of the 1200 block of N. Hoyne St., Chicago, was issued a ciation for violating the village’s liquor license code.

Theft under $300: While on patrol at the Glen Ellyn Public Library, 400 Duane St., a complainant informed an officer about a theft at the library. According to the report, an unknown offender removed seven Nintendo DS games. The estimated loss is valued at $215.

Theft under $500: According to the report, an unknown offender stole a Schwinn mountain bike and left another bike in its place in the 200 block of Cottage Avenue on Aug. 14 sometime between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Burglary to motor vehicle: Officers responded to multiple burglaries to motor vehicles on Aug. 16 between 11:40 a.m. and 2:26 p.m. According to the report, a Honda Odyssey’s rear-passenger window was shattered while parked in the 800 block of Pershing Avenue. According to the report, an unknown offender removed a diaper bag. According to the report, the officer noticed three more vehicles with shattered windows and missing bags, purses, credit cards, check books, camera, iPod and cash.

Burglary to motor vehicle: Officers responded to multiple reports of burglaries to motor vehicles in the 600 block of Pershing Avenue on Aug. 16 at 7 a.m. According to the report, an unknown offender entered the unlocked vehicles sometime between 10:45 p.m. on Aug. 15 and 7 a.m. on Aug. 16. According to the report, the unknown offender stole spare change, up to $5 from one vehicle, and rummaged through the other vehicles but no items were reported missing.  

Battery: Officers responded to a battery report involving neighbors in the 100 block of Sunset Avenue on Aug. 11 at 7:39 p.m. According to the report, Rodney J. Smietanski, 46, of the 100 block of Sunset Avenue, got into a fight with his neighbor Larry F. Stanford. Deputy Chief Bill Holmer said the neighbors exchanged words before getting into the physical altercation. Alcohol may have played a role in the fight, according to officers on the scene said Holmer. There were no serious injuries or weapons at the scene of the incident. Smietanski was charged with battery and Stanford was transported to the DuPage County Jail for an outstanding warrant out of Cook County for a violation of conditional release.
