Multiple Cited for Driving Without a License

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glen Ellyn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Driving under the influence: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop near Main Street and Roosevelt Road on Sept. 16 at 2:10 a.m. According to the report, Chitose Tsutsumi, 47, of the 800 block of Dorchester Court, Glen Ellyn, was charged with driving under the influence and was issued traffic citations for improper lane usage and failure to signal.

Criminal trespass: Officers responded to a domestic report in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue on Sept. 16 at 9:57 p.m. According to the report, Laura E. Wells, 30, of the 2000 block of Benedict Avenue, Joliet, was issued a citation for criminal trespass.

Burglary to motor vehicle: Officers responded to a burglary report in the 200 block of Milton Avenue on Sept. 17 at 7:45 a.m. According to the report, an unknown offender entered the unlocked vehicle in the driveway and stole $5 in change sometime between 9 p.m. on Sept. 16 and 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 17.

Theft: While on patrol at the high school, a complainant reported that an unknown offender stole his unlocked bicycle from a bike rack at Glenbard West High, 670 Crescent Blvd., on Sept. 17 around 10:06 a.m.

Driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop near Nicoll Way and Roosevelt Road on Sept. 12 at 1:39 a.m. According to the report, Deborah K. Quigley, 54, of the 1N600 block of Forest Avenue Glen Ellyn, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of a controlled substance. Quigley was also issued citations for improper lane usage and failure to signal. Quigley was then transported to DuPage County Jail.

No valid driver’s license: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop near Roosevelt Road and Hillcrest Avenue on Sept. 14 at 10:20 p.m. According to the report, Santiago Castillo De La Sancha, 36, of the 1000 block of Lorraine Avenue, Wheaton, was issued citations for driving without lights, no driver’s license, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

No valid driver’s license: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop near Roosevelt Road and Nicoll Way on Sept. 14 at 10:32 p.m. According to the report, Jose L. Mejia, 19, of the 200 block of Clifton Lane, Bolingbrook, was issued traffic citations for no valid driver’s license and speeding.

No valid driver’s license: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop near Park Boulevard and Anthony Street on Sept. 15 at 11:52 a.m. According to the report, Manuel Castaneda, 18, of the 21W200 block of Valley View Drive, Lombard, was issued a traffic citation for no valid driver’s license.

Domestic battery: Officers responded to a domestic battery report in the 400 block of Duane Terrace on Sept. 11 at 2 a.m. According to the report, Richard W. Temple, 32, of the 400 block of Duane Terrace, Glen Ellyn, was charged with domestic battery and transported to DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop in the 200 block of Roosevelt Road on Sept. 11 at 4:14 a.m. According to the report, Danielle R. Laveau, 26, of the 2200 block of Sisters Avenue, Naperville, was charged with driving under the influence and issued traffic citations for speeding, improper lane usage and no registration.

Fighting: Officers responded to a fight in progress in the the 500 block of Park Plaza on Sept. 11 at 6:09 p.m. According to the report, two juveniles were issued citations for fighting.

Criminal defacement: While on patrol, an officer observed graffiti on a building in the 100 block of Surrey Drive and the 1100 block of Surrey Drive on Sept. 11 between 3 a.m. and 7:14 p.m. According to the report, the property owners were contacted to have it removed as soon as possible.   

Aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting arrest: Officers responded to a subject refusing to leave PAD’s, 535 Forest Avenue, on Sept. 11 at 7:01 p.m. According to the report, Mark E. Parenty, 54, of the 700 block of Liberty Street, Wheaton, was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting an officer.

Driving while license revoked: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop near St. Charles and Riford Roads on Sept. 11 at 8:25 p.m. According to the report, Eric V. Garcia, 37, of the 24W200 block of St. Charles Road, Carol Stream, was charged with driving while license revoked and issued a traffic citation for speeding. Garcia was transported to DuPage County Jail.

Domestic battery: According to the report, on Sept. 11 at 11:09 p.m. a juvenile battered another individual and was charged with domestic battery and released to the custody of her parents.

Criminal defacement: Officers responded to a defacement report in the 100 block of Surrey Drive on Sept. 12 at 2:25 p.m. According to the report, an unknown offender sprayed graffiti on the east side of the building. The property owner was contacted to have it removed as soon as possible.

Criminal damage to property: Officers responded to a damage report in the 900 block of Highland Avenue on Sept. 17 at 11:48 p.m. According to the report an unknown offender threw an object at the front window causing it to shatter.

Theft of mislaid property: Officers responded to a reported theft at the Burger King, 590 Roosevelt Rd., on Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. According to the report, an individual left his jacket and wallet in the restaurant. When he returned the jacket was missing along with the wallet. The estimated loss is valued at $500.
