Police Blotter: More Yard Signs Reported Missing and Other Thefts
The following arrest information was supplied by the Glen Ellyn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Theft under $500: Several yard signs were stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Crescent Boulevard. According to the report, the incident occurred sometime between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Oct. 18. The estimated loss is valued at $125.
Theft under $500: A resident came into the police station to report at least 30 stolen yard signs. According to the report, the incident occurred sometime between 6 p.m. on Oct. 18 and 6 a.m. on Oct. 19 in the 500 block of Lee Street. The estimated loss is valued at $300.
Theft under $500: An unknown offender stole a yard sign from a residence in the 500 block of Lee Street sometime between 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 and 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 23.

Theft under $500: An unknown offender stole $39 and a pack of cigarettes from a complainant’s pocket while he slept at the PADS location, in the 500 block of Main Street. According to the report, the incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 6 a.m. on Oct. 21.
Theft under $500: An unknown offender stole a locked bicycle from the bike rack at the Metra Train Depot, 555 Crescent Blvd, sometime between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Oct. 20. The bike is valued at $100.
Retail theft: An unknown offender stole three car batteries worth $589.97 from Advanced Auto Parts, 696 Roosevelt Rd., on Oct 21 at 10:24 a.m.
Theft under $500: An unknown offender removed a pedal from a locked bike near Prairie Path Park on Oct. 21 between 7:15 and 6:30 a.m.
