$500 Worth of Razors Stolen From Walgreens

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glen Ellyn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An unknown offender stole $578.66 worth of razors from Walgreens, 840 N. Main St., on March 6 at 5:29 p.m., according to police reports.

"What often happens is people steal things that are high-priced over the counter type things -- razors, baby formula, even liquor -- and they can resell it and make money for drug use," said Deputy Chief Bill Holmer.

According to Holmer, other police agencies in the area have reported similar incidents. The Glen Ellyn Police Department is working with these other agencies and have developed suspects. The case remains under investigation.
