Police Charge Glen Ellyn Man And 3 Others in Naperville Bar Brawl

Four men were arrested after a fight broke out at a popular downtown Naperville bar over the weekend.

Naperville police continue to investigate a fight that occurred at a popular downtown Naperville bar Saturday.

Four men were arrested and one remains at large after a brawl broke out between them around 1:28 a.m. Saturday at BlackFinn American Saloon. One of the men had to be subdued with a Taser, according to police.

Officers were in the area of the bar Saturday when they "observed several subjects fighting," according to a news release from the Naperville Police Department. Police said the men began fighting inside BlackFinn before spilling into the street.

With assistance from the DuPage County Sheriff's Department, Naperville police intervened and arrested the four men outside of the bar. 

Michael S. McLaughlin, 27, of Glen Ellyn, Nicholas A. Panno, 26, of Wheaton, and Eric J. Sola, 26, of Schaumburg, were arrested by Naperville Police Department.

A fourth man, Jose I. Martinez, 21, of Montgomery, was arrested by the DuPage County Sheriff's Department after battering one of their officers, police said. 

Panno was charged with interfering with police and McLaughlin was charged with two counts of battery, resisting arrest and attempting to disarm an officer, police said.

According to a story in the Naperville Sun, McLaughlin was Tasered by police after allegedly trying to grab the Taser from an officer. 

Sola faces battery and obstruction of justice charges while Martinez was also charged with battery and resisting arrest, according to police. 

Court dates for all four men are pending.
