Man Tries to Lure Child Into Van Near Glen Ellyn

The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon in unincorporated Glen Ellyn.

An unknown male tried to lure a child into a "work type" van on Tuesday, Jan. 10 around 3:30 p.m. near Elmwood Drive and Milton Avenue in unincorporated Glen Ellyn. 

According to the Daily Herald, the child then left the area and told her parents about the incident. 

According to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office, the male told the child he had a puppy. The suspect was reportedly wearing a white or light colored t-shirt, is approximately 55, medium build, balding, short white hair, and has a "five o'clock shadow."

The suspect was driving a navy blue Ford Econoline or Chevy Express type work van with tinted windows.
