Hold on to Your Wallet: Theft in Glen Ellyn

Here are a few items from the Glen Ellyn police blotter.

Stolen Cell Phone and Wallet on Valentine's Day

A Glenbard West student reported his cell phone and wallet to police on Feb. 14. The items are believed to have been stolen sometime between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. from the students backpack at Beister Gym. The estimated total of the stolen items was less than $500.

An officer was approached on the 1100 block of Roosevelt Rd. by a woman who said that an unknown person had stolen a wallet from her bag sometime between Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. and Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.

Car Burglarized

Police were sent to the 500 block of Oak St. on Feb. 18 to investigate a complaint of a car that had been broken into. The victim of the break-in told police that an unknown person had entered the vehicle and stolen three duffle bags. The bag and their contents had an estimated value of $500.
