Glendale Heights Man Charged in Two Lombard Burglaries

The man has been charged with two felony counts of residential burglary and attempted residential burglary for incidents in unincorporated Lombard.

The following is a press release from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office:

Sheriff John E. Zaruba announced today the arrest of a male suspect who burglarized a home in unincorporated Lombard yesterday.

Ernest Robinson (dob 06/21/79) of the 100 block of Waters Edge Dr., in Glendale Heights, has been charged with one count of Residential Burglary which is a class 1 felony, and one count of Attempted Residential Burglary which is a class 2 felony.

At approximately 8:40 yesterday morning the Sheriff’s Office received a report from a homeowner on Pineview St. in unincorporated Lombard that someone tried breaking into the residence. Deputies checked the area and no suspect was located.

A few hours later, at approximately 11:00 a.m.the Sheriff’s Office receives a call of a residential burglary on Meyers Rd. in unincorporated Lombard. Sheriff’s Deputies responded and started checking the area, at the same time the Lombard Police Department received a call of a suspicious person walking down the street with a TV.

The subject was located and found with proceeds from the residential burglary.

Robinson was taken into custody and is currently being held in the DuPage County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
