Police Blotter: Marker Mess, Interfering with Officer, Driver Caught Making a Pass

Glen Ellyn Police Department reports, Oct. 15 to 20

SATURDAY, OCT. 20

Revoked license

Margarito Gonzalez, 35, of the 1100 block of Surrey Drive, was arrested at 9:54 a.m. at the intersection of Brighton Street and Surrey Drive, Glen Ellyn police said. He was charged with driving with a revoked license and disobeying a traffic control device.

Interfering with police

Karla G. Veasco, 19, of the 300 block of Spruce Lane, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. in the 300 block of Spruce Lane, police said. She was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, interfering with police and possession of a false identification card.

Possession

Police said Sarah Gesessew, 19, of the 1000 block of Wilson, Wheaton, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. in the 300 block of Spruce Lane. She was charged with possession of drug equipment and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor. 

FRIDAY, OCT. 19

Possession

Joshua R. Gasper, 19, of the 1800 block of North Gary Avenue, Wheaton, was arrested at 3:09 a.m. at St. Charles and Lenox roads, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis, 30 grams and under.

TUESDAY, OCT. 16

Burglary

A resident in the 700 block of Elm Street reported that someone broke into the home between 4 and 6:30 p.m., police said. Burglars made their way into the home through a basement door. Several personal items were stolen. The items stolen were not specified.

MONDAY, OCT. 15

Retail theft

Police said Robert Q. Gorman, 23, of the 400 block of East Crescent Street, Wheaton, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. at Jewel, 599 Roosevelt Road. He was charged with retail theft, shoplifting. Items stolen were not specified.

Uninsured

Cardoso Obet, 25, of the 500 block of Gundersen Avenue, Carol Stream, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Cottage Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving without a license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane use.

Passing a bus

Lukasz G. Kociubinski, 24, of the 300 block of South Roselle Road, Schaumburg, was arrested at 8:56 a.m., police said. He was charged with passing a school bus while it was unloading and driving without a license.

Criminal damage

Someone reported to police at 11:14 a.m. that someone had used markers to draw on a park bench at Lake Ellyn Park, police said. The marker was used on a bench near the tennis court.

Vehicle burglary

Police reported a vehicle in the 100 block of Surrey Drive was burglarized while parked in a lot. The report was made at 11:20 a.m. Someone appeared to have entered the unlocked vehicle while it was parked. A briefcase containing several “personal documents” was stolen.
