Glen Ellyn Man Gets Four Years for Child Porn
The 45-year-old West Driveway man was arrested on charges of possessing porn videos of girls under the age of 13.
A Glen Ellyn man arrested in March for possessing pornographic videos of pre-teen girls has been sentenced to four years in prison in a plea bargain, the Daily Herald reports.
Police arrested Liviu Babei, 45, of the 800 block of West Driveway in Glen Ellyn, earlier this year as part of an investigation that turned up videos of young girls, some under the age of 13, engaged in various sex acts.
According to the paper, an investigating police officer downloaded the videos over the internet from Babei’s computer using a peer-to-peer file-sharing network.

Babei, who had no previous DuPage criminal record, pled guilty to a charge of aggravated child pornography to avoid facing up to seven years in prison if the case went to trial, the paper said; he will have to register as a sex offender for life.
